Josh Neufeld, author of "A.D.: New Orleans After the Deluge."

Neufeld is an alternative cartoonist known for his fact-based comics on subjects like Hurricane Katrina, international travel and finance, as well as his collaborations with writers like Harvey Pekar and David Greenberger.

Robert Sikoryak, author of "Masterpiece Comics."

Sikoryak is a comic book artist who specializes in making comic adaptations of literature classics, producing a mashup of high and low cultures. Under the series title Masterpiece Comics, these include Crime and Punishment rendered in Bob Kane–era Batman style, becoming Dostoyevsky Comics, starring Raskol; and Waiting for Godot mixed with Beavis and Butt-Head, becoming Waiting to Go.

Sam Henderson, creator of "Magic Whistle."

Henderson is an American cartoonist, writer and expert on American comedy history. His writing and storyboard directing work on "SpongeBob Squarepants" earned him a nomination for Best Animated Program (for programming less than one hour) in the 55th Emmy Awards.

Danny Hellman is an American freelance illustrator and cartoonist nicknamed Dirty Danny.

Since 1989, his illustrations have appeared in publications including Time, Fortune, Sports Illustrated, The Wall Street Journal and others, and his comic book work has appeared in DC Comics publications.

Cheese Hasselberger/House of Twelve

House of Twelve is an independent anthology comic book publisher based out of the New York metro area and run by artist Cheese Hasselberger. Ho12 also sponsors a monthly comic art collective held the first Wednesday of every month at Jack Demsey's Pub on 33rd street in New York City, NY. They have been running since August 2001.

The New Haven Summer Comics Fest is a one-day event featuring artist and publisher tables; panel discussions; short films and animations directed by and/or featuring work of comics creators; comics slide shows; a keg of free beer (donations requested).
10a-10p: The Fest
10p-2a: The After party (more music, more slide shows, drink specials, drunk cartoonists)
Tables are still available and are free for invited comics creators and visual artists. If you'd like to be invited to participate, send us an email and we will hook you up.
if you live very far away but would still like to participate from afar by submitting a slide show, some pages to display, short films or anything else you think might be appropriate, feel free to contact us and share your ideas.
This event is being held in conjunction with the 2010 Street Fest, which will include a number of events including two stages of live bands (all day and into the night), a rockabilly car show, skateboard demo, booze, food, arts and crafts, and representatives from all your favorite underground subcultures!
